CREAM by PRINCE

Breakdown of the song CREAM by PRINCE
Here is how PRINCE makes everything feel all better.
Today had some challenges with fellow employees I guess they do see this job the way I do. But normally I don't often ask for help with anything I am working.
I had two clients at opposite ends of doing the same thing and there was a point where one is in the way of the other. They were both looking for a solution and they came to me with the answer and there was any easy solution to it. I called my fellow coworkers to help me with this solution to make everything easy for these clients. Things did not go as well as I would hope. I had to explain over and over what was going on and why we needed to help out this way. I had two people help out it was the excuses of one that bothered me and it was. "THAT'S NOT OUR JOB" this really bothered me so with the completion of the project I took the issue up with my manager. Then the manager gave me the run around with this then said I shouldn't do what I did because they are the competition, that just got me more upset.
But that is as much detailed that I can give without saying names.
But it had me upset and where PRINCE comes in is when I get in my car to go home still feeling bad PRINCE music comes on. Well if anytime you get in my car it is always on. But what song that got me out of the upset state I was in was the song CREAM.
I don't feel this song is about what everyone thinks. It is about being positive and just be your best and knowing no matter what that you are the best. Here are the lines that caught my attention:
You're so good
Baby, there ain't nobody better (Ain't nobody better)
So you should
Never, ever go by the letter (Never ever)
You're so cool (Cool)
Everything you do is success
Make the rules (Rules)
Then break them all 'cause you are the best
This is telling me is give people what they don't expect and I feel I am able to do that with my job. Give them more than they expect.
I should be the best at whatever I do. The song goes on with more that I feel tell much of the same thing of taking chances and doing those things that no one expects.
Do your dance
Why should you wait any longer?
Take a chance
It could only make you stronger
It's your time (It's your time)
You got the horn so why don't you blow it (Go on and blow it)
You're so fine (you're so fine)
You're filthy cute and baby you know it (you know it)
That is my analysis of the song CREAM by PRINCE

PURPLE BUBBLE

It is hard to put into words what I've been feeling these past few months in the life of music without PRINCE. I think I have yet to feel any kind of deep emotion in the loss of PRINCE for the fact that I've been consistently listening to his music these past few years even before his death. So I guess you could say I've been trapped in a purple bubble ignoring any kind of rumors and what not in regards to his death. But in truth outside of that, I do feel a disappointment behind his death and that's hard to put into words.

When I say purple bubble I guess you can say it's a metaphor for consistently listening to Prince's music. Because his music is visual so colorful words in tones and sounds it makes you think and for me, it is very inspiring. Through that inspiration, I've been able to write many poems and after many years of not being able to write a poem it just came back to me that day of his death. I found my muse once again after not writing anything for the past 10 years before that April 21.

So I rediscovered poetry in a different way and went back through my archives of poetry that I wrote many years ago. Seeing these poems and I've written so many years ago some made me laugh some made me wonder what was I thinking when I wrote this?  So I went back through and edited some and started posting poems to my poetry blog called My Moment of Inspiration.

I guess for me writing these poems gave a voiced my emotions on how I felt about PRINCE and the music he left behind. Through his passing and dealing with these emotions I've written quite a few poems so far this year that I've been inspired by him and some of them are Saying A Prayer For The Lonely One, If I Could Sing, His Name Is Prince, Shake It Like It's Fake, Mary Soul and most recently I wrote one called Purple Love Child the list of poems continue on and if you're a PRINCE fan like me, you can easily pick out the ones that are inspired by him.
Before his passing other poems that were inspired by him where Cool As You, To The Dawn And Back and Died which I wrote inspired by his album COME and on this album he acknowledges the changing of his name by talking about himself in the past tense in one of his songs.

Even though I enjoy sharing my poetry with people I feel a sense of how emotional connection to them as if they were like children. Even though I share these poems with many people it is rare that I get a comment or input that is productive criticism that would help me better my skills as a poet. Is prince took pride in every song that he wrote and performed I feel like I have that kind of pride and every call my right so when I do get criticism it doesn't go well and most times I get upset over it and I hope those of you reading this understand.

Enclosing, Peace Love and Purpleness

Prince over Michael Jackson

Got in a debate with a friend about who was most talented PRINCE or Michael Jackson. For me this was mute debate obviously from this blogg you know who I am for. Even though Michael holds a place in my hear too.
My stance in the argument was PRINCE did it all write, produce, compose, play every thing. He was consistent with his art and work.
My friends argument was that Micheal took his time he wanted perfect his songs.
I said Micheal didn't read music. He just went on about that claiming Michael did saying he played keys, guitar and drums. I researched it I have yet to see one minute of footage of Micheal playing something. They where all still photos of him at drums him holding a guitar and one peace of video when he was in china with a guy who programed synth Michael touch the key and the video goes black and you hear the guy talking in Chinese.
None of that proved any thing ya he could beat-box and communicate what he heard in his head. But that does not mean he knew how to read music.

As much as I like Michael comparing him to PRINCE there is none. PRINCE WINS in my book and in my blogg.

WRITING

I have another BLOGG called Moment of Inspiration where I have been posting my poetry. I guess you can say it is my VAULT but unlike Prince, there is access to it for everyone to see.
I started writing in high school around my senior year I made a goal of writing 100 poems a year. I was inspired to make that goal after reading Maya Angelou books of poetry. I did that three years in a row but it kind of slowed down, it was like I had lost a good a friend.
Then on April 21, 2016, it when it came back to me the day PRINCE passed away. It came back to me and I wrought "Save A Prayer For The Beautiful One"  that was then when I rediscovered this long lost love called poetry.
Sometimes a new poem just comes to me and sometimes I feel it but nothing is there so I listen to PRINCE for inspiration and that might be why some of my poems have the metaphoric imagery. Sometimes when I go to work I will leave my iTunes playing PRINCE all day just so that vibe is there when I get back from work.

FaceBook

Few months ago I joined a FaceBook group dictated to PRINCE where people would post their thoughts about what PRINCE meant to them. There would be allot of cool video that people took at his concerts and unreleased music that I never heard.
But there is one thing that get me about this is when people use PRINCE to gain attention for them self. With out giving any more attention to this talentless hack what they do is take a clip form a PRINCE performance and make poorly recored beat and post it as a video meme. I can understand taking his video and photos and creatively edit them to one of his songs.
I feel things like that is a insult to him memory we have yet to experience a year with out him. Even though PRINCE was complex person I don't think he would have gone for something like that.

Real Music

PRINCE was asked, What do you consider real music? This obviously is a stupid question from some one that knows nothing of PRINCE. His response to the person who asked the question "Have you been to one of my shows?"

Hopefully you know about the clip I am talking about. Today I saw a clip of PRINCE clip of one of his show with hip hop mashup. I feel it was the stupid thing and the person who maid it knows nothing of PRINCE music.
